LANG REINTEGRATION ESGR Mission Our Mission We will gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflicts through mediation. ESGR is an agency of the Department of Defense and organized as part of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. To enhance awareness for ESGR the following information is provided. The ESGR web site is full of self help tool kits and information. Our web site is located at

Members can nominate their employer for an award from ESGR by going to the web site and clicking on the link in the lower right hand side labeled as Award your employer or you can use this link Recognize your boss for their support of National Guard and Reserve members. LANG REINTEGRATION ESGR (SOS) Statements of Support (SOS). By signing a SOS for the National Guard and Reserve, employers and political leaders demonstrate their support for their National Guard and Reserve employees, their commitment to military service, and their resolve to bolster the defense of the United States. Our Governor Bobby Jindal signed an SOS on 14 October 2008 in support of the Guard and Reserve. Your employer can do so as well. Statements of support can be located on the ESGR web site at
LANG REINTEGRATION ESGR (USERRA) Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and Ombudsman Services Program. ESGRs Ombudsman Services Program was instituted to provide a means by which disputes arising under USERRA can be informally mediated between employers and their Guard and Reserve employees. Disputes between employers and employees are resolved through the efforts of ESGRs Volunteer Ombudsmen representatives. The communications made by parties during informal mediation are protected by the Administrative Dispute Resolution Act. It is critical service members use the website to have their issues addressed
