6 World Recreational Scuba Training Council The World Recreational Scuba Training Council (WRSTC) is dedicated to the worldwide safety of the recreational diving public. As such, one of the WRSTCs primary goals is the development of worldwide minimum training standards. The establishment of globally recognized and implemented standards is a valuable asset in addressing local and national regulatory issues. 11 Course work - options – Classroom – e-learning – Materials- Textbook, Logbook, Dive tables Confined Water Dives Open Water Dives Equipment Required Complete the Merit Badge Requirement, merit badge to be worn on sash Link to

12 E-learning or Classroom – E-learning – course work all on line once complete go to dive shop take 18 question proctored exam – Classroom Learning – mix of self-study and hours of class room meeting at the dive shop. Materials – Open Water Crew Pak which contains: The Open Water Diver Manual, eRDPML, Diver's Blue Logbook (includes training record), Student Record File, Keep Diving brochure, PADI transparent decal. PADI Dive Adventure Scholarship

13 Personal Equipment YOU need to bring: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Dive Boots, Swim Suit and Towel Equipment Provide: BCD, Regulators, Cylinders and Weights Learn equipment assembly, use and care. Completed over a weekend at a local pool Saturday and Sunday mornings. (Will vary at different dive shops.) Five dives learning 21 skills. Swim (200yd) or Snorkel test (300yd), 10 minute treading water EquipmentWhat You Will be Doing

15 Can be done local or referred to tropical shop. Here we do at Lake Millbrook west of Haymarket Weekend Dives – 2 Saturday 2 Sunday Equipment provided BCD, Regulators, Cylinders, Weights plus wet suit and hood. Gloves are recommended and would need to be purchased.
