Ernie’s seventeen (17) - year stint in the food industry has brought rich experience to his present endeavor as an independent consultant.
His profession began as service staff for leading Quick Service Restaurants (QSR’s) such as Jollibee Foods Corporation, Wendy’s International and Round Table Pizza Restaurant mastering the different areas of operations.
He then decided to put up a catering business servicing several companies in Makati and moved on to a joint venture to put up a diner in Laguna for 3 years.
From 1997 up to March 2003, he has been part of every Opening Team for every branch of DOME Café Franchise Corp. Philippines (Greenbelt Mall, Pan Pacific Hotel, Shangri-La Mall, Solid Mills Building, Rockwell) and was involved in the technical aspect of the cafe operations and handled training of incoming staff and management team. In 1999, he completed DOME Coffees (Australia) Master Coffee Making Course and was duly certified by Ms. Kate Bodycoat, Operations Support Manager. As a Master Barista and a “coffee man”, a non-acceptance of mediocrity keeps his passion alive in seeking for the best at work.
Discovering his true passion for coffee, he went on to become a consultant for different cafes, such as Rosso Café, Bali Blends, Metro Blends, Coffee Plus, Soul Café, G Café, Coffee Mix, Off Roads, Home Bakers, Brown Cup, Sassy Café, Embassy Café, Fifties Café, Bread Connection and several other cafes from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. He was also responsible for the training of Baristas and Bartenders from Bistro Holdings Corp. which handles TGI Fridays, Outback, Italliannis, and Fish & Co.
