In France, young people can marry even if their parents do not agree. You can get married before you are 18 if there are serious reasons (such as pregnancy).
Even if you get married in church, you have to be married by the Lord Mayor of your town. Your marriage is then legal. Now in France you can also marry someone of the same sex. We call it « the law of marriage for eveybody».
A traditional marriage Guests normally are close friends and family of the couple. On the wedding day, the bride and groom can not be together before the ceremony.
