1 Display: Shows date, time, caller ID of incoming call, standard Caller ID 2 Display menu keys: The key functions depend on the traffic state. When you are requested “(see display)”, press the required key to access the feature. 3 Navigation key left: Navigate one step to the left in the top menu. 4 Home: Return to home position (idle mode), when you are navigating the top menu. 5 Navigation key right: Navigate one step to the right in the top menu. 6 Call Pick Up: Ability to pick up calls from programmable Call Pick Up feature 7 Common Hold: Place caller on common hold to allow Call Pick Up group to answer line on hold 8 Programmable function keys: Program numbers or features. 8b Accept 2nd Call: Receive incoming calls while phone is in use 9 Triple Access Line: Handle calls. Line 1 and 2 are available both for incoming and outgoing calls. Inquiry can only be used for outgoing calls. 10 Microphone: Used for hands free conversation. 11 Clear: Disconnect calls or exit a feature. Can always be pressed instead of replacing the handset. 12 Headset key: Handle headset calls and activate Headset Preset. 13 Loudspeaker on/off Activate hands free conversation. b. Activate Loudspeaker Preset. 14 Mute: A. Switch the microphone on or off during a call. B. With the first party on access 1, press access 2 to get dial tone. The first party will be on hold. Dial the second party’s five digit extension number. When the second party answers, announce the call and look for and press the TRANSFER key using the menu buttons below the display. TRANSFER A CALL TO SOMEONE’S VOICE MAIL Dial , you will hear an automated recording. Follow the prompts. Enter five digit extension number of the person then press the # symbol ie.: # Then look for and press the TRANSFER key using the menu buttons below the display. New Mexico State University

PROGRAM: This feature is used to program settings PHONE SET: This feature is used for display contrast, melody programming, etc. CALL LIST: This feature will display incoming, outgoing and missed calls Home Position: Idle Mode PHONE BOOK: (Optional) feature to search for name, group, etc On the display then call directly MESSAGES: An alternate route to dial into your voice mail For detailed information on this and other features visit the website below. Display features include: Time and Date Assigned extension and/or subscriber’s name To navigate through the top menu of the display use the left or right navigation keys and press the select button. Dial the first party, announce purpose of call, ask first party to hold Press ACCESS line 2 to dial the second party. After the second party answers, look for and press the CONFERENCE key using the menu buttons below the display. Listen for a short beep to indicate all members have been added. To add another caller, press ACCESS line 1, dial the next party After the next party answers, look for and press the CONFERENCE key using the menu buttons below the display. FOLLOW ME – TEMPORARILY DIVERTS YOUR PHONE CALLS TO ANOTHER EXTENSION Dial * 2 * , the five digit extension number and # Listen for a pulsating diversion tone. (Display will read: “Follow me to 6-XXXX) Hang up or press the clear key. To cancel the follow me, dial # 2 # LAST NUMBER REDIAL Dial * * * the last external number will be automatically dialed. TO PROGRAM SPEED DIAL BUTTON(S) Using the navigation key arrow to the left to PROGRAM Press the menu button to SELECT Press any vacant button to be programmed (lamp on) Enter extension or telephone number (dial “8” for outside line &/or 1 & area code for long distance number) Press vacant button again (lamp off) Press the menu button to EXIT TO DELETE SPEED DIAL BUTTON(S) Using the navigation key arrow to the left to PROGRAM Press the menu button to SELECT Press a speed dial button to be deleted (lamp on) Press the clear button (#11) to clear programming Press speed dial button again (lamp off) Press the menu button to EXIT New Mexico State University

Select desired ring tone by pressing 0 – 9 on keypad; when selection has been made Press EXIT using menu buttons below phone display *The last tone selected will be saved New Mexico State University

To Record OR Change Your Name Dial Enter your security code Press Follow the prompts to save To Listen AND Recorded Standard Greeting Interrupt greeting, Press Follow prompts to listen to your current greeting and/or make changes To Record Your Personal Greeting Press Follow prompts to record your greeting From another phone Press # to interrupt greeting Enter last 5 digits of campus phone number ie: 6-xxxx Enter security code Follow same steps to change personal greeting To Retrieve Message(s) When there is a message left in mailbox, a stuttering dial tone will be heard and/or message waiting light will blink Dial (if off campus dial )  If calling from your dept phone, upon request, enter security code. If calling from another phone, press * then # enter last 5 digits of mailbox, enter security code Press 5 to hear messages Press 3 to delete message Press 5 to listen to next message After listening to all messages, Press 9 To exit you mailbox, Press 9 again BASIC VOICE MAIL SERVICE INITIAL SET UP To Program Security Code Dial Voice will ask for security code, enter default code 88003 Interrupt greeting, press Follow prompts to enter your new security code (between digits that you will remember) Program Security Code From Another Phone To Your Assigned Phone Number Dial from another on campus phone When automated voice comes on, Press * then # to interrupt greeting Enter last 5 digits of campus phone number ie: 6-xxxx (If dialing from off campus dial When automated voice comes one, Press # to interrupt greeting) Enter default security code 88003 Interrupt greeting, press Follow prompts to enter new security code (between 4-15 digits To change Voice Mail Security Code Dial (off campus ) Enter current security code Press Follow prompts New Mexico State University

When Prompted, enter last 5 digits of your extension + # (Alamogordo campus enter last 4 digits of Alamo ext. + #) Press # again to record comments Press # again to end recording Press # to send message to new voice mail Repeat steps to continue forwarding messages To end session, hang up NOTE: 1-2 minute delay in retrieving messages in new system *Confirm messages have been forwarded to new voice mail system BEFORE erasing messages from the old voice mail system After Recording and Addressing a Message Mark the message private # 4 Mark the message urgent # 6 Request a return receipt # Request future delivery # 5 After Listening To A Message Pause or resume * Call Message Sender ((local calls only)) Forward Message Reply to Message Back up while listening Return to Beginning Of Message Advance forward 5 seconds Save Message Hear Date/Time Of Message To bypass voice mail greeting when calling another on campus extension Press # Record your message To Retrieve Saved Messages Dial Enter your security code Press 1 9 2 Follow prompts To Program Out of Office Greeting Dial *(off campus dial , press # then enter the last 5 digits of your NMSU phone number) Interrupt greeting, press Use same procedure to enable/disable greeting.
