Turn the phone so that the front faces away from you. 2. Hold the base unit firmly and press the release tabs on the sides of the stand to detach the base unit. 3. Hinge the hooks of the base unit into the notches on the back of the phone and snap into place as follows: a) For a high-angle mount, hinge the two lower hooks into the bottom set of notches and snap the two upper hooks into the middle set of notches. b) For a low-angle mount, hinge the two lower hooks into the middle set of notches and snap the two upper hooks into the top set of notches. 5212 Handout IP Set End User Training www.marconet.com Fixed Keys

Customizing Your Phone Settings and Using Phonebook Marco www.marconet.com Specify Display Brightness/Contrast While your Phone is Idle To adjust the display contrast using the volume controls: 1. Repeatedly press (UP) or DOWN). To Store a Speed Call number 1. Press SUPERKEY. 2. Press # until “Personal Keys?” appears 3. Press * 4. Press a Personal Key that is open or an existing speed call Key. 5. Press * 6. Enter in the Number you wish to save. 7. Press the Personal Key again. 8.Do one of the following: -to make the number private press * -to keep the number visible press # 9.Press SUPERKEY Ringer Control To adjust the Ringer Volume while the set is ringing: Press Arrow up or Arrow Down. To adjust the Ringer Pitch and or Volume while the set is idle: 1. Press SUPERKEY. 2. Press # until "Ringer Adjust?" appears. 3. Press *. 4. Press *. 5. Press Arrow Up or Arrow Down. 6. Press #. 7. Press SUPERKEY. Volume Control Handset Receiver Volume Control To adjust the Handset Receiver Volume when you are using the handset: 1. Press Arrow Up or Arrow Down. Phonebook For each letter in the name, press the appropriate key on the keypad until the letter is shown in the display; for example, if the letter C is required, press the digit 2 three times. Press # for Help to display the keys used to enter Phonebook commands (Lookup, Call, Next, Retry, etc.). Help is available from the top-level menu only. To use Phonebook: 1. Press Superkey 2. Press * 3. Enter the name of the desired party. 4. Press 0 (zero) for Lookup. 5. If no match exists, edit the original entry. 6. If the name is not unique, press 0 for Next Then Do one of the following: -To make the call, press *. -To exit, press SuperKey.

www.marconet.com Call Handling-Answering, Making, Transferring and Conferencing Marco Make a Call To Make a Call: Pickup your handset, Select a Line, Press (SPEAKER), or Begin Dialing. To Dial: Use your Dial Pad, Press a Speed Call Key, Use Phonebook, or use People (5340 only). Answer a call Select the ringing line that is flashing or Lift the handset or press (SPEAKER). End a call Press Hang Up or Cancel or Hang up handset or Press (SPEAKER) If using Handsfree. Redial To redial the last number that you manually dialed: Lift the handset (optional). Press (REDIAL). Handsfree Operation To use Handsfree to make a call do one of the following: Dial the number, Press a Line on your phone, or press the (SPEAKER) Key on your phone. To use Handsfree operation to answer calls: Press the flashing line key or the (SPEAKER) key. To hang up while using Handsfree operation: Press (SPEAKER), Cancel, or Hang Up. Mute for Handsfree Operation To turn Mute on and off during Handsfree operation: Press (MUTE). The Mute key light turns ON. To turn Mute off and return to conversation: Press (MUTE). The Mute key light turns OFF. Hold To place a call on Hold: Press the red HOLD key. To retrieve a call from Hold: Lift the handset and Press the flashing line key. *7 To retrieve a call from Hold at another station: Dial *7 and the extension of the station that has the held call. Transfer To Transfer an active call: 1. Press TRANS/CONF. 2. Dial the number of the third party. 3. Do one of the following: To complete the Transfer by pressing Release Me or Hanging up your handset. To announce the Transfer, wait for an answer, consult, and hang up or press release. To cancel the Transfer, press CANCEL and return to your call. Conference To form a Conference when a two-party call is already in place, or to add another party to an existing Conference: 1. Press TRANS/CONF. 2. Dial the number of the next party. 3. Wait for an answer (you cannot conference in a ringing phone). 4. Press TRANS/CONF (You will hear a conference tone before a new party is connected). Note: To leave a conference be polite and press your cancel key. Direct Page or Intercom 1. Pick up you handset. 2. Press the Direct Page Key or dial the feature code. 3. Dial in the party you would like to intercom. Directed Call Pickup 1. Lift the handset and dial #7 and the extension of the ringing station.
