3 Online Recordkeeping/Reporting System (ROAR) Online version of the Indiana Reading Diagnostic Assessments

4 The IRDA-Online reports allow for progress monitoring. Reports are based on skills identified by the National Reading Panel as key skills…that consistently relate to reading success

5 The ROAR System provides a variety of student & class reports based on: Phonemic Awareness Phonics Fluency Vocabulary Comprehension

6 Logging into IRDA-Online : www.cia.indiana.edu Click on IRDA-Online (ROAR System) link

7 Logging into IRDA-Online : www.cia.indiana.edu The Site News section will have important information about IRDA You can log into IRDA-Online in two different locations.

8 Logging into IRDA-Online : www.cia.indiana.edu The Online Help section gives information to help you on that page If you request a username or password reminder, it will be emailed to the address we have on file for you. After the principal allows a teacher access, a username will be emailed to the teacher

11 Score Entry Click on the Testing and Scoring Tab to enter scores

16 Click on Your View to choose a different class If no students are currently assigned to you, contact your principal and request that they be assigned.

17 Organizing Groups To create a group, select the Students and Classes tab. Then select the Organize Groups tab. Click the New Group button at the bottom of the screen.

18 Organizing Groups Type in the name of the group. Then click the Save button.

19 Organizing Groups Select the students to add to your group. Click on the Add Selected button.

20 Organizing Groups After students have been added to the group, click on the Save Changes button.

21 Organizing Groups The group should now show the correct number of members in the Size field.

22 IRDA-Online : REPORTS Click on the Reports and Activities Tab to access Reports

23 IRDA-Online Reports Student Reports Four student reports are available.

27 Use student reports to measure the progress of individual students. IRDA-Online Reports Student Skills Report Solid white diamonds show the level for each skill per student Dark green bar shows the average skill level for the class The black bar shows the expected skill level

28 Use the Student Skills Report to compare students skill levels to the rest of the class, to the expected level, and between different skills. IRDA-Online Reports Student Skills Report The Student Skills Report will measure growth from one administration to the next. If retest scores are entered, hollow diamonds represent growth between administrations.

30 Every Standard Indicator that has been assessed and for which the student needs instruction will be listed. The list of resources that cover each Standard Indicator includes live hyperlinks to the resources.

32 The Back of Book report shows detailed information on how students did on specific skills within each section.

33 IRDA-Online Reports Back of Book Report Click here to access Parent Information Sheet

34 IRDA-Online Reports Back of Book Report The Parent Information Sheet is a great addition to a students Back of Book report. It explains the skills assessed and offers simple tips for parents to use at home to help their children develop those skills.

35 IRDA-Online : REPORTS Class Skills Report Three class reports are currently available.

36 The Class Skills Report displays the average skill levels of the class This report reveals that the class needs to work on comprehension skills IRDA-Online : REPORTS Class Skills Report

38 This group needs to work on Vocabulary skills IRDA-Online Reports Intervention Report The Intervention Reports displays groups of students who did not meet the expected level for each skill area.
