Welcome Back Letter School Dress Code Attendance Policy

4 Attendance Policy & Class Participation
A maximum of 7 full day absences/28 total class period absences are allowed during the current school year. At the 8th full day absence and/or 29th class period absence, for any reason, the student’s name will appear on the Non-Participation Stop Clearance List. Class participation: 100% of grade. Rubric: A= score of C= score 3 B= score of D= score 2 or 1

5 Dress Code Policy San Pedro High School students will wear appropriate clothing that promotes a safe and healthy school environment. Students will not wear clothing or accessories that are disruptive or a distraction to the education process. We ask our young men and women to maintain a professional, clean, and decent attitude in regards to how they dress on a daily basis. Maintaining this attitude will prepare you greatly for the adult world. The main goal of our Dress Code is to establish appropriate dress standards to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

8 Dev. Reading Elective Period 1-Room F212- Muto
This course is designed to promote proficiency in English Language Arts. Topics covered will provide opportunities to develop skills in high school level reading and writing and follow the California Common State Standards for grades 9-12 in reading, writing and language. CA Standards Word Analysis Reading Comprehension Writing Strategies Grades Complete class assignments Participation & Work Habits Check Schoology

11 Grading Criteria Check for “Schoology” daily!
Grades: Each student will be given and graded individually based on his/her Individualized Education Plan (I.E.P.) and progress in each content class. Students will receive five weeks progress reports during the school semester. Each progress report and final grade will be figured based on student participation, work habits, IEP goal progress. Class Rubric: A=score of 5, B= score of 4, C=score of 3, D=score of 2 or lower, F=1 or zero Check for “Schoology” daily!

Mrs. Muto’s Class Rules Be respectful of yourself and others. Listen quietly while others are speaking. Leave your seat ONLY when necessary & ask for permission by an adult. Complete work on time. Always do your best!

Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Global Economy. Possible Electives: Accounting, Web Marketing, Consumer Economics, and Business Law

16 Pedro Action League SLC Theme Public Service
Focus on law, societal issues, world events, the role of the citizen, global studies, and national security. Explore careers in law enforcement and public services. SLC Motto: “ The more knowledge we possess, the more our community can progress.”

17 Pirate Health & Fitness
Focus on health, nutrition, managing and providing medical and therapy services, and health information. Explore careers in Sports medicine, Sports management, and athletic training. Careers in Health sciences, nursing, and physical therapy. 10 service hours need each year ! Anatomy and Physiology, Body Dynamics, Sports Therapy, Nutrition, First Aid and Emergency care, Physical therapy aide
