We will cover the present, the past and the future tenses.
We continue our study of culture, history, and geography
Students have the opportunity to do extra credit project to improve their grades

Spanish 3 reviews all the grammar while expanding vocabulary and reading skills.
Students read short stories, poems and newspaper articles in order to learn more about Spanish speaking cultures.

7. Course Overview
The AP Spanish Language and Culture course emphasizes communication (understanding and being understood by others) by applying the interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes of communication in real-life situations. This includes vocabulary usage, language control, communication strategies, and cultural awareness. The AP Spanish Language and Culture course strives not to overemphasize grammatical accuracy at the expense of communication. To best facilitate the study of language and culture, the course is taught almost exclusively in Spanish.
The AP Spanish Language and Culture course engages students in an exploration of culture in both contemporary and historical contexts. The course develops students' awareness and appreciation of cultural products (e.g., tools, books, music, laws, conventions, institutions); practices (patterns of social interactions within a culture); and perspectives (values, attitudes, and assumptions).

90% to 100% = A
80 % to 89% = B
70% to 79% = C
55% to 69% = D
Below 55% = F

Class Rules
All hats should be removed
All electronics put away; no texting or phone calls during class
Water is the only drink allowed in class
No chewing gum
Be respectful of your teacher and classmates
Bring your textbook, workbook and notebook to class every day; make sure you have paper and a writing instrument
In class participation is a very important part of your grade.
Be on time and be prepared to work.

School policy: no more than 7 days absent for the entire school year to participate in extra curricular activities.
Class participation: 15% of your grade
