Do you have any vacancies? These are two great phrases that mean the same thing and declare the reason for your call. #2. I would like to check in on……. for (number) nights…… This is a phrase used when explaining your purpose and details for your stay at a hotel. #3. I would like to reserve the room/suite please. This is your way of confirming that you want to pay for and commit.

Grammar Focus * Look at the grammar tab with your student and make sure that they understand how to make polite suggestions/requests. * Have them read out the grammar sample sentences. * Have them find the sentences in today’s dialogue that demonstrates today’s grammar point.

In one scenario, you are the front desk employee and they are the guest checking in to a hotel. Switch the roles in the second scenario. Use key vocabulary and phrases from today’s lesson when asking and answering questions. Also be sure to practice today’s grammar focus!
