1  Components of Physical Fitness

2 Endurance  The ability of one’s muscular strength to continue and last, especially despite difficult conditions.  Ex. Running or swimming for a long time.

3 Flexibility  The capacity of a joint or muscle to move through its full range of motion.  Ex. Touching your toes or making a split.

4 Speed  The ability to move quickly across the ground or move limbs rapidly to grab or throw.  Ex. Running fast to win a race.

5 Strength  A muscle's ability to generate force or resistance against physical objects.  Ex. Lifting a heavy weight.
