The Protagonist is the good guy, the hero or heroine. The protagonist in this story is Poppy. The Antagonist is the bad guy or evil villain. The Antagonist in this story is Mr. Ocax. Mr. Ocax is evil!!

4 Conflict The conflict is Animal vs. Animal because Mr. Ocax did not want Poppy and her family move to new house.

5 Foreshadowing “At the moment the Mr. Ocax plunged down upon Poppy from behind.” Page: 140 the end of chapter 17

6 Setting Time Place Spring time – present day Dimwood Region

7 Climax The climax of the story is the head or the big event of the story. The climax in Poppy is when Mr. Ocax and Poppy fight, also when Mr. Ocax is dead.

8 Point of view The point of view is who is voting for each character.
The author of Poppy is neutral but a little bit more in Poppy’s side.

9 Literary Devices Simile Onomatopoeia
A Onomatopoeia is when there is a sound word in the text. An example of a Onomatopoeia in this book is “ Whoo, Whoo”, page 43 middle of chapter 5. A simile is a comparison between two things using like or as. An example of a simile in this story is “The owl’s branch reached out like a claw”, on page 47 end of chapter 5.
