1. Jessica Blumhagen (University of Washington School of Medicine)  This new SIG program allows us to create opportunities for students to discover a love for surgery, gain hands-on experience, connect with surgical mentors, and participate in improving medical education. We collaborated with the Harborview Medical Center Chief of Trauma and Advanced Trauma Life Support to allow medical students to sign-up with our SIG and participate in the ATLS course as a moulaged simulation patient. Students completed a survey about their experience, which gave us event quality data to ensure the success of our efforts. The student feedback was unanimously positive and enthusiastic, strongly requesting similar opportunities in the future.
