3 http://www.scotlandscensus.gov.uk/ods-web/home.html Data on eg Council Areas, Health Boards, Output Areas, Constituencies, CHPs, Electoral Wards – varies by output type One of few official sources with data for Postcode Sectors Area Profiles: best for comparing up to two areas on a range of indicators (shown in Webinar 2) Maps and Charts: best for comparing a wider range of Council Areas only, on a number of indicators Standard Outputs – good for comparing non-standard area groupings, though not v small areas All indicators are cross-tabulated, mostly by sex and age Census Data Explorer

5 http://statistics.gov.scot Data from a wide variety of sources – select area or theme to explore what’s available National Records of Scotland – Census, Annual Population Estimates NHS Scotland – eg Breastfeeding rates, Low Birthweight Scottish Government – Govt Surveys plus eg Benefits data But eg Scottish Household Survey most recent data 2011, data from 2013 SHS only has smoking rates … Transport Scotland – numbers of stations, passengers, delays due to congestion etc Lots to explore!
