Floral displays – across the District Landscaping projects – sustainable planting Wildlife management - Local Nature Reserves and Woodlands – Newbold Comyn, Whitnash brook, Welches meadow Trees within parks and open spaces – Working with County Forestry Sports pitches and bowling greens – Victoria Park, Newbold Comyn, Castle Farm HLF bids - Pump Room Gardens

9 Plans for the future 2016 - Eagle Rec – gym equipment and bmx track to finish project 2016 – Redland Rec improvement project – work to start April/May 2016 – Wych Elm Drive open spaces – consultations going out 22 nd March, work starting in June 2016/2017 – All saints parish church forecourt – community project 2016/2017 – New street closed burial ground – community project 2017 – Shrublands (Fords field) 2017 – Calder Walk play area 2017 – Mason Avenue improvement project Parks audit for all sites 2016. Annual play area inspections for all sites. Management/ development plans to be drawn up over the next 2 years.

16 Friends Of Groups A friends of group are a group of local people who come together to improve the appearance, facilities, conservation value and safety of their local park. Currently groups for Victoria Park, The Dell, Dragons Cottage, Christchurch gardens Groups can help with: Fundraising for improvements and events in the park Making sure the community voice is heard in the management of the park Practical tasks like litter picking and tree planting Park Patrols Helping in the management of the park Leading walks, talks and events
