21 Assignments: Edit Categories To see your categories, or to edit a category click on the Edit Category link, then click on the name in the Category column.

27 Assignments – Copy Assignments This feature allows you to copy assignments from the source section to the destination section. Assignments and Categories created in the 2011-12 sections can be copied to other 2011-12 sections.

28 Assignments – View Tree View Tree allows you to see an outline view of categories and assignments.

29 Assignments- Filters Filters provide the opportunity to sort assignments by: Terms Category Student Groups

30 Assignments list can be sorted by each column heading Active- included in grade calculation Hide- removes view from Parent Portal Assignments- List

41 Student Groups - Overview Student Groups Allows users to place students in a course section in more than one group. Allows multiple teachers in a section to create groups Allows teachers to attach a group to an assignment

42 Creating Student Groups Click Index > Instruction > Student Groups and click New. Enter a *Name for your group and click Save. Any active team is available for use in Grade Book and the Assignments tab.

43 Creating Student Groups Click-hold-drag the students from the Roster column on the left to the Student Group Members column on the right.

44 Creating Student Groups Once the group is completed, click Save.

45 Student Groups- Membership After student groups are created you will have a list of students and their active membership. NOTE: Students can be members in one or more groups or no groups.

46 Student Groups- Assignment Should a student change groups the assignments will follow that student according to the date it is created. Once a student group has been created go to Create Assignment and select a group from the Student Group drop down menu.

47 The Grade Book - Groups As mentioned earlier, once you create groups, they are available for use in several places including Grade Book. Student Groups will always default to All Students in the course roster. Note: If you have not created any groups, student groups will not show up in the Grade Book.

48 Grade Book - Groups Selecting another Student Group (Blue Team) gives you the ability to view the assignments for just those in that are members of the group

56 Missing Assignments Select student or students (the entire class will automatically be Checked) Select appropriate Term/Hexter (The current Term will automatically Be checked Never check “Repeat Messages” box

57 Missing Assignments If you would like to save this template for Future use, then click Save, if you do not Wish to save, then skip this step

58 Missing Assignments This pop up box should appear after Clicking the SAVE button Name the template by Typing in this box. The name Will also be the in the subject Line of the email Last step is To click ok

59 Missing Assignments This will send a message to Recipient’s Infinite Campus Portal inbox (it is always “greyed out”) This will send a message To the recipients email. (Parent email address or Student’s gaggle email Respectively) After all information has been checked, click the “Preview Notices” button.

62 Teacher Message Click on “Teacher Message”

63 Teacher Message Any previously created and saved templates will be listed here Type the subject of The message in the “Subject” box

64 Teacher Message Type in the message here. IMPORTANT- Guardians and students can not Reply to the message, therefore type in who sent The message and your contact information.

65 Teacher Message After your message has been created, click if you wish to save the message for future use Click if you do not want to save the created message for future use

66 Teacher Message Select if you want the message to Be sent to guardians or students (You can not select both at the same time) List of students in The class, along With their guardians

67 Teacher Message Select individual Guardians to Receive the email By clicking on their Name. This will Move them to the Other list box. To select the entire class, click the “Select All” button, which will move the Entire list over to the list box

68 Teacher Message Keep this button checked If you want the message to be sent to guardian email or student gaggle email addresses A preview of the subject and message Click this button when Finished selecting recipients

69 Teacher Message Another preview of message, again be sure To type your name with contact information. Click “Review Recipients” button to View who will receive an email, and who Will only receive a message in their IC inbox

71 Teacher Message This number represents how many messages will be sent It includes both email address and IC inbox This number represents how many email Addresses will receive this message
