3 Vision Statement Example The SER Programme will enable a seamless and rewarding student journey for students and staff.

4 The Programme will do this through: Simplification We will rationalise our processes and systems to ensure a seamless and joined-up experience is provided for Students and Staff We will simplify and clarify processes so that it easier for Students and Staff to do their work We will remove activities that add no value to Students and Staff We will improve collaboration to ensure we deliver an excellent student journey We will automate where it makes sense to do so- freeing up time for our stakeholders

5 The Programme will do this through: Visibility and Transparency We will develop a common data source to provide: A “single view of the student” enabling improved decision making and student support (and/or) Accurate, timely and relevant information to enable improved decision making and accountability Improved quality and compliance

6 The Programme will do this through: E-enablement We will E-enable the Student Journey to : Automate “paperless” processes saving time and money Provide easy and 24 hour access to information wherever one is (remote working) Provide a single “look and feel” to all users Provide users with an intuitive and simple to use interface and platform

7 The Programme will do this through: Adaptation and Flexibility We will implement processes and systems to improve user control and management We will take a modular and customisable approach to system development We will simplify our processes and enhance our systems to increase our speed of response to sector issues and opportunities (improved compliance) We will lay the foundations for a continuous improvement culture
