No Multi-tasking, which is a big fat lie!

19 Your College Experience: Strategies for Success, Concise 9 th ed., Gardner, Jewler, & Barefoot Other Things you can do Using a timer. Prioritize assignments Use Self-talk strategies. “If I get this done now, I won’t have it hanging over my head.” “I am not at the mercy of my whims: I have the power to choose.”

20 Your College Experience: Strategies for Success, Concise 9 th ed., Gardner, Jewler, & Barefoot A word about Facebook and Texting These are tools. Questions to ask yourself: Is this an idol in my life? What would my life be like without it? What does it look like to be truly connected? What can I do to ensure it’s the tool and not me? Make sure to read the article in Canvas: “Study Finds Link Between Facebook and Lower Grades.”
