Millions of people visit the Capitol building per year. It cost $412,000 to build the Capitol building. The capitol building was built, burned, and built again.

Its initial purpose was to summon residents of Philadelphia to the State House so that the people could watch the Declaration of Independence being signed. The Liberty Bell was first cast in 1752.
