Microsoft Word 2007 In the Library at York College, all Windows computers have Microsoft Word 2007.

Word 2007 To use Microsoft Word 2007, it is necessary to find items in the ribbon, and this is often challenging. Most of the commands are not usually used by students: the following pages will give each individual an idea of the most common commands.

Ribbon The ribbon in Microsoft Word 2007 has the key to the commands. The ribbon includes: Home, Insert, Page Layout, Preferences, Mailings, Review, View, Developer, and Acrobat. In addition to the ribbon, Microsoft Word 2007 has an Office Button (on the upper left side of the screen) which has the most common commands, including save, save as, and print.

Other Shortcuts Also, Microsoft Word 2007 has a Quick Access Toolbar, which allows (by default) the users to save and redo. It also has on the bottom of the display a Status Bar, View Buttons, and a Zoom Slider.

Home Button on the Ribbon Using the Home Button on the Ribbon, the user can cut, copy, and paste. The user can also specify the font and the style.

Insert Button on the Ribbon Using the Insert Button, the user can insert a page break, number pages, and insert symbols and equations.

Page Layout Button on the Ribbon Using the Page Layout Button, the user can align an entry.
