3 The Term Classroom - books – maths, inquiry books; stationery – pencils, rubbers, pens, colouring pencils 8.30am students allowed in class Developing independence Blog - a work in progress Visual, Auditory or Kinesthetic learner – VAK 11 week term – Week 8 - Easter Good Friday Mar 29 & Mon 1 st April Finishes 19th April. Term 2 Begins Mon 6 th May

4 CURRICULUM Reading In own class Grouped according reading ability CSI reading continues Journals – CSI set activities related to each story read…independent work. Blooms Activities School Library – work in progress P.E./Fitness Fitness each day – please provide a note if your child cannot participate in fitness Sports day – Wednesday. Children can go home in P.E. gear

5 Spelling FRoGS - daily. Testing will started Week 2. Thank you to all those who volunteered to assist Books to be returned each day. No book - no test. Frogs training session to be arranged Maths Interchange Basic Facts Highway Numeracy – Number Knowledge then Add/Sub Grouped according to Numeracy Stage Measurement

6 R.E. Prayer Jesus Strand – Year 4 programme Reverence is expected at all times during Prayers and Mass Holy Week Liturgy – 28 th March Thursday First Holy Communion – 26 May

7 Written Language: Own class Narrative Writing – let’s use our imagination Proof reading and editing Helping at Home: FRoGS Spelling words Reading - make it fun. Read their favourite book, magazine or comic. E xtra activities may be given, e.g. finishing work, R.E. home activities Effort & Behaviour Books: Home on Friday. Returned Monday signed - house points awarded
