7 S TATE EOC C OURSES  All students taking State EOC Courses are required to take the End of Course exam  EOC exams count for 30% of course grades  State EOC Courses:  Algebra 1, (must pass to graduate)  Geometry,  Algebra 2,  Biology,  US History

8 O NLINE V IRTUAL E DUCATION Student/Parent requests the course on www.flvs.net List your current middle school and counselor when creating your account. Suggested HS semester courses: Personal Family Finance, Law Studies or Parenting Skills Your current MS counselor will approve the course. PVS/FLVS will place you with a teacher which may take a few weeks. Continue to check your PVS/FLVS account for placement. Virtual grades in EOC courses must be recalculated to include EOC exam score Once you graduate from MS, change your school on your FLVS profile to GJHS

9 F RESHMEN S CHEDULE F ACTS Students are scheduled for their 2016-17 classes based on: 1. Graduation requirements 2. Course progression 3. State testing mandates 4. Class Size Amendment 5. Course availability Freshmen schedules include 3 academic courses (English, Math, Science) and 4 elective courses Intensive courses are scheduled based on State testing mandates (FSA AL1 & AL2) and count toward elective credit requirements Schedule changes are extremely limited as GJHS courses and personnel are determined by your requests on registration day

It will allow for experience in the kitchen as well as all aspects of cost control, safety and sanitation, nutrition and kitchen management. Working at a school based catering/restaurant setting provides many learning experiences. 22 R EGISTRATION U PDATE D EADLINE Parent Input:  Every student will receive a copy of their completed registration sheet  Parents should review students’ choices and submit any updates to middle school counselors  ALL updates must be submitted to middle school counselors by April 1 st Please be certain of the courses you have requested. Materials are ordered and teachers are hired based on the course selections of students.
