4 Students will line up at the door outside our classroom (Door #7). When it is rainy/cold, students will enter through front doors and line up in the gym. If you arrive after tardy bell (8:15), you must bring your child to the door by the main office. Dismissal will be at the outside door. – ID’s will be required!

13 Units of Study Matter Life Cycles Weather Science Fair All 1 st, 3 rd, and 5 th graders will participate in science fair.

14 Civics and Government Understanding why we have rules American symbols History Personal History: Family Tree Famous Americans/Special Days Economics Consumers & Producers Goods & Services Geography Simple mapping (i.e. classroom) Understanding physical and human characteristics Public Discourse Taking a stand on a public issue

15 Outstanding Great Job Good Day Ready to Learn Think About It Teacher’s Choice Parent Contact Reward at end of the week. Possible Rewards: Lining up first, making first choice at recess, sticker, etc. Warning: No consequence. Possible Consequences: Time off recess, time out of class activities, etc. Possible Consequences: Any consequence from purple plus a phone call or note home.

16 Expect Reading and Math homework every night except Fridays. Second Semester: Weekly Spelling Homework Added At Home Projects on a limited basis

17 Parent volunteers are always welcome! Please fill out volunteer survey Volunteer opportunities at school or home Volunteer calendars sent home monthly Volunteer consent forms must be completed! Volunteer in our Classroom!

19 Our class will be visiting Real Life Farm in Canton. Date:TBD Parent volunteers are allowed (although you may need to follow the bus in your own car)
