Madero declares he’ll run for President in 1910 1910 Madero Runs for president, Diaz throws him in jail November 10, 1910 Madero writes a call to revolution- Revolution officially begins. 1911 Pascual Orozco, Francisco “Pancho” Villa, Emiliano Zapata attack Diaz

5. Also… 1911 Diaz Flees, leaves General Victoriano Huerta in charge of army. 1911 Madera returns as president 1913 Madero killed by Huerta w/ help of USA 1913-1914 Villa, Zapata, Alvaro Obregon, Venustantio Carranza defeat Huerta August 1914 Carranza declares himself president

Lastly… 1914-1915 Villa & Zapata team up, fight Obregon & Carranza 1915-1919 Fighting continues between Villa & Zapata vs. Obregon & Carranza April 1919 Zapata tricked into meeting Carranza’s general and killed @ meeting. Late 1919 Carranza killed b/c of way he murdered Zapata. 1920 Alvaro Obregon elected President
