2  Your school's foreign language department has been offered a grant to send you and your classmates to the Spanish speaking country of your choice for a entire semester!. After meeting with the representatives from all Spanish speaking countries of the world you choose a country. You will be responsible for sharing information about your country when you return. Good Luck!

3  Now that you have returned, your principal wants you to create a presentation to present to parents what you’ve learned from the country that you visited.  You must now create a PowerPoint presentation about your country. Your presentation should include but is not limited to the following elements: Location, Geography, currency, Natural resources, School, Family, Tourist Attractions, and Food.  Also include your opinion on the country and what you enjoyed the most about your stay.

4  The first step is to locate your country online.  While you are online look for information about your country  ( please note the media center has additional sources such as Encyclopedias and country books).

5  Your presentation must include 12 or more full slides(with pictures).  Each slide should be on one of the following topics: slide 1: your name, name of project, school etc. Slide 2: Location-(Where is it?) Slide 3: Geography Slide 4: Currency (what is their money called?) Slide 5: Natural resources Slide 6: School system( how many years a students goes to school? Slide 7: Family Life Slide 8: Tourist attractions Slide 10: Cuisine (what are the most popular foods?) Slide 11: what you liked the most about your trip. Slide 12: Bibliography (where you cite the resources used) google, yahoo or bing are not sources: however you can cite then for pictures only.

6  This project is independent work Not a group work.  This project is a REASEARCH PAPER…you ARE expect to REASEARCH, TO READ, TO FIND AND ANALYZED INFORMATION.  Your presentation should be on your own words.  Any Students who plagiarize will receive a Zero (0) for this project. Please see your agenda for additional consequences.

7  This project is 25% of your grade and it’s worth 100 points.  You will be graded on your PowerPoint presentation using the following rubric.

8 Writing  20 Information presented is completed and shows evidence of throughout research.  10 All information is well organized and in your own word  10 All the slides have a title.  10 Presentation has a bibliography with resources from the web, text and the media center. 50 Points

9 Presentation  30 You are an expert on your country.  10 Presentation include 10 or more full slide  10 Presentation design is effective and visually appealing. 50 Points
