From Western to Public Policy Friday November 4th, 2011 Visit of Deputy Ministers, Bob Hamilton, Paul Boothe, and Patricia Hassard Please help welcome our Western Alum and Deputy Ministers by attending the following student sessions 1:30-2:30 SSC 3006 Student Career Seminar with Patricia Hassard and Jing Xu Undergradute and Graduate students are welcome to attend this session which will help students understand how to apply and secure a job in the federal public service. Students will hear about opportunities, recruitment and how to stand out in the application process. 1:30-2:30 SSC 2050 Paul Boothe's presentation: "Environment Canada as a World Class Regulator” 2:30- 3:30 SSC 2050 Bob Hamilton's presentation: "Canada-US Regulatory Cooperation"

4. Meetings  Met with Vice President University Affairs of the USC to discuss the process of our Student Donation and reasoning behind it. He hopes to discuss this with UWO administration  Presidents Roundtable Meeting – looking into doing a campus wide concert. Stay tuned for more details. BIG things to come  Sarah Dawson and I met Monday and will continue to meet next week in regards to Summer Experience Awards  Promote Social Science Students’ Council Leadership Awards – on our website www.ssscwestern.ca 11 of them valued at $1450www.ssscwestern.ca
