2. Where is it Subarctic? This is where the climate is subarctic. Much of Siberia The Western Alps between 1600 and 2100 meters (5,249 and 6,890 feet), Eastern Alps between 1450 and 1800 meters (4,757 and 5,905 feet) - France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Australia. The northern half of Scandinavia (milder winters in coastal areas) Most of Interior Alaska. The high Rocky Mountains, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana Much of Canada from about 50-55°N to the tree line, including: Southern Labrador Certain areas within Newfoundland interior and along its northern coast Northern Quebec except for the far north Far northern Ontario The northern Prairie provinces Most of the Yukon Most of the Northwest territories Much of northern Mongolia Most of the Russian Far East Northern Heilongjiang

3. What is subarctic? When the temperature is subarctic the winters are bitterly cold and the summers are mild. The climate is only subarctic in the Northern Hemisphere. The Canada and Russia are the biggest land masses that are subarctic.

4. Pictures and facts The subarctic area is transition climate zone between the temperate and polar climate zone Most of the time if there is a tall mountain the top of it will be subarctic. The farter away you are from the equator the colder it will get.
