3 Hours 7:30-3:30 Monday-Friday If you want to come to the Media Center before school or at lunch, you must obtain a morning pass from your teacher or the Media staff preferably the day before or get the pass in the office that morning. You must have a legitimate reason for visiting the Media Center (recreational reading is considered a legitimate reason).

4 General Rules Place backpacks & large bags on the tables upon entering. (Security cameras are on!) Always sign in and out if you are not with a class. Always have your agenda book. No thru traffic! Food and drinks are prohibited in the Media Center. No computer games or music. No personal e-mail during instruction time.

5 General Rules II Books are due back two weeks after they are checked out. There will be a fine of.10 per day per item for overdue materials. Reference books may not be checked out. Magazines can be checked out overnight.

6 Overdue Policy Passed by the Site-Based Committee Fall Semester 2001

7 You may not check out other books until the overdue item has been returned.

8 Conference with Library Media Staff

9 An email will be generated in Destiny and sent to your parents informing them of your fine.

10 Financial Aid If you are unable to pay the fine, you may arrange to work in the Media Center before or after school at the rate of $4.00 an hour to pay off the debt.

11 All outstanding fines must be taken care of prior to prom and graduation!

12 Services Computers: Internet may be used when your entire class is present, under the supervision of your teacher. If you come on your own, you will need a signed agenda book from your teacher and a valid reason for using the Internet, and the Media staff must be available to supervise.

13 Services II Do not print directly from the Internet! Copy and paste to a Word document with a bibliography. If you forget, it will cost you.10 per page. Any item printed for non-educational purposes will cost.10 per page as well. We do have a colored printer available. The cost is.50 per page. See Media Center staff for details. School email may be checked before/after school only. It may be used at any time for educational purposes.

14 Services III Computers may be used for typing. However, students needing to research have first priority. All computers have Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Do not use Works! If you bring a disk from home, your teacher or the Media staff must scan it for viruses before you place it in the computer.

15 Services IV Copier: A copier for student use is provided. Please ask for assistance the first time you use it for instructions. The cost is.10 per page and the copier takes nickels and dimes. We do have change available in most cases. Compact discs are available for purchase for $1.00. We have a few jump drives available for check out in case of emergencies!
