The Social Studies class studied WW II and the Executive Order 9066 and Manzanar. The Music class played and researched the music of the 1940s-50s. The Math class calculated the temperatures of the housing units made of tin and the square footage of the housing units. The Health class looked at the food consumed or made at the internment camps.

10. Thematic Units First, pick your topic or content. Second, look to three other disciplines that could be integrated into this topic. Third, speak to the three other teachers and discuss how all could be integrated into a thematic unit. Fourth, brainstorm ideas. Fifth, develop a plan. Six, put into action.
