8 When do we use Present Perfect?
1) We use Present Perfect for an action in the past with a result now. He told me his name but I have forgotten it.(I can’t remember it now.)

9 2) When we talk about a period of time that continues from the past until now.
Jane’s life until now past now - Jane, have you ever been to Paris?(in your life) - No, I haven’t.

10 3) When we talk about smth that began in the past and still continues now.
We have known each other for a long time. Ann has been in England since Monday. (She is still there.)

11 4) We use Present Perfect with today/this morning/this year…when these periods are not finished at the time of speaking. today past now I haven’t seen Tom this morning. Have you?

12 5) To say how long we use : for since When we say a period of time:
When we say the start of the period: An hour ten minutes a week five years a long time Monday o’clock Christmas I was ten I have lived in London for a long time. I have lived in London since we arrived.

Just = a short time ago - Is Helen here? - No,I’m afraid she has just gone. Already = before smb expected Max has already arrived. Yet = untill now Has it stopped snowing yet?
