10,000 people a year die in the UK as a result of air pollution.
Every person in the UK throws away four times their own body weight in rubbish per year.

17. Muhammad and water What lesson can Muslims learn from this?
When the prophet and his companion were once on a long hard journey, they stopped by a clear stream. It was a hot day and Muhammad's companions immediately went into the water and let it freely splash over them. When they looked up the prophet had taken a small bowl from his carrier and had scooped a small amount to wash in. Amazed the companions asked why. ‘Who gave us these good gifts but Allah and he gave enough for all but we should only take what we need and not waste any part’.
