2. What is Tuberculosis caused by?
Tuberculosis is a disease caused by a bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs.

3. How is it transmitted?
Tuberculosis is spread through the air. If you are not treated properly TB disease can be fatal.
People who have it and breath in and out can spread the disease
Its not transmitted by kissing, shaking hands and sharing food and drinks.

4. What are the symptoms? Some symptoms of TB disease are Chills Fever
Sweating at night
Weight loss
No appetite
Weakness and fatigue

5. How do you treat the Disease?
TB disease can be treated by taking several drugs for 6 to 12 months. If they stop using the drugs too soon they will become sick again also if they don’t take the drugs as directed.

One third of the worlds current population has been infected by Tuberculosis.
It is estimated that 25,000 new cases are discovered each year in the U.S.
Tuberculosis started in 1882.

7. How to prevent Tuberculosis
If you want to prevent Tuberculosis you should get the vaccine.
The vaccine usually leaves a red bubbly mark 4 weeks after it has been given and then disappears into a faded area on the skin around 6 to 7 months later.
