2 What is the Ontario Player Development League?
A standards based league Will include the top 1.5% of players in the Province starting with age U13 in 2014 OPDL is the Talented Pathway OSC has advocated for this league

4 Why Does Ontario Soccer Need OPDL?
A genuine high performance, standards-based League High level, mandatory standards of excellence in all organizations participating in the League Consistency of program quality across the entire League Quality beyond competition, driving into standards in coaching, training curriculum Talk about why the current model is broken. Changes that are already occurring due to the creation of OPDL. Large increases coaching education enrolment. Investment in facility development Investment in coaching development Greater organizational expertise being employed

To be a “Club Member” of genuine high performance youth soccer in Ontario Expose OSC players to the highest level of provincial youth soccer possible Showcase OSC players locally rather than around North America Attract and develop top coaches Introduce formalized sport science and sport medicine components to OSC programs Be a partner in the development of our country’s future star players

9 Introduction: Structured Change at OSC
Pine Glen was built in 2009 2011 OSC Strategic Plan released 2011 OSC Technical Plan released Fall 2011 OSC re-vamped ADP and RDP Fall 2011Hired a Coaching Development Manager Fall 2011 Paid AGHC’s were introduced in all age groups Fall 2011 released the first periodised training schedule for the club Fall 2012 changed Rep ages to match OPDL structure Fall 2012 Expanded ADP to include U11 and U12 Start Plan was developed after meetings with Stakeholders (Parents, Coaches, Referees). Within the Technical Tactical Planning we advocated for the development of this league. Summer 2013 changed House League playing format to match LTPD guidelines
