1 IS2 control and operation enclosures for automation
NEW

2 New IS2 enclosures for automation
Strength – the strong point The range you need Kit version – an absolute novelty The only ones with IP65 Accessories for all applications Personalisation is splendid

3 Flexibility of solutions
The level of flexibility the IS2 was born with allows us to manage three different composition levels of the product: Fully pre-assembled, in batteries as well, with any necessary drillings (this is the ready-to-use solution based on individual requirements) 1 Single pre-assembled columns (easy to handle, these allow optimisation of order management and of the space inside the workshop) 2 Kit solutions (immediate availability, few parts in stock and allow great construction flexibility. They are assembled with low applied labour.) 3

4 New IS2 enclosures for automation
Ideal panel board special apparatus Where the new IS2 enclosures for automation are the most advanced to be found on the market today, ABB’s automation apparatus is also a synonym of technological innovation. You can count on a wide and diversified offer of control and operating devices, d.c. contactor actuators with low consumption up to 40 A, electronic releases, pushbuttons and many, many other pieces of apparatus all guaranteed by the international know-how of one of the leaders in the electromechanical sector.

21 Functionality / benefits looked for (?)
The pre-assembled version mounted in a battery with possible drillings Ready to be used …with a small extra cost, it is possible to use the service set up by ABB, which allows the panel board use to have a solution ready for cabling

22 Functionality / benefits looked for (?)
The pre-assembled version The IS2 range has some made-up configurations which can be used as standard by the user who has repetitive production lines Standardisation the mounted version offers all the advantages of a “pre-assembled” structure, without giving up the various personalisation requirements Personalisation

23 Functionality / benefits looked for
The kit version Simple and rapid to mount 8 screws are sufficient to mount the skeleton of the panel board. The hinges are already mounted on the uprights, the roof and the angle pieces and plinth on the base Flexible just a few codes managed in stock offer great construction flexibility within short periods of time Sturdy mechanical resistance unaltered also in relation to the pre-assembled parts, thanks to the special shape of the uprights and to the strength of the 3-way joint Vantaggio di prezzo

24 Functionality / benefits looked for
Cable entry from below simple to use, these make up a discrete closure of the cable entry area Sliding flanges made up of sheet segments of different sizes, these allow cable entry in correspondence with terminal box Removable flanges made up of a single flange, this represents the solution for when it is important to keep the degree of protection from below, too Bottom closure flange should the quantity/cross-section of the entering cables be large, it is possible to have the bottom open Completely open bottom

25 Functionality / benefits looked for
Cable entry from above this is an accessory which can be mounted on the roof of the panel board which allows circulation of the conductors and entry from the roof Cable connection box This is an alternative to the previous one w=300mm, which goes directly side by side with the structures Lateral cable connection container

26 Functionality / benefits looked for
Cable anchoring, terminal box supports and earthing busbar using simple accessories, it is possible to fix the conductors with a diameter from 9 to 72mm to the structure of the panel board Fixing cables to the structure different accessories allow the terminal box to be fixed on the back plate, with and without the earthing busbar Terminal box supports it is possible to make the connection from the front directly onto an M6 threaded busbar, and by means of a 6x6 square busbar and terminals for cables from 0.5 to 35mm2 Earthing busbar

27 Functionality / benefits looked for
Fixing apparatus onto the back plate this eliminates the drilling operation, avoiding any filings falling inside the panel board Fixing components by means of piercing screws this operation is possible outside the panel board horizontally with subsequent insertion Fixing onto standard and oversized plate

28 Functionality / benefits looked for
Fixing apparatus onto the back plate from the front/rear and laterally by means of tracks with excellent sliding level (balls) Insertion of standard and oversized plate it is also possible to mount several plates at the same time (e.g. control panel boards with the electrical part on the front and the pneumatic part on the rear) Insertion of two plates on opposite sides

29 Functionality / benefits looked for
Handling the panel board the plinth structure made up of flanges removable from the front and the dimensions/sturdiness of the angle pieces, take the standardised size of normal forklift into account. The standard plinth h=100mm and h=200mm with addition of accessories Handling by means of forklift this implies replacement of the normal angle pieces with dedicated structures which are extremely sturdy, ideal for panel boards assembled in batteries Handling by means of rollers and made possible by different types of lifting eyebolts which are fixed directly onto the supporting structures of the panel board Handling by means of a bridge crane

30 Functionality / benefits looked for
Air conditioning/ventilation of the panel boards Air conditioning should a considerable reduction in the temperature inside the panel board be found necessary from the calculation models (CEI 17-13), it is possible to mount air conditioners with 550 to 2100W refrigerating yield on the side doors and roof Natural ventilation it is possible to create natural ventilation inside the panel board by inserting ventilation gratings/hoods on the doors/side panels or roof Forced ventilation with the addition of reversible type fans (suction/pumping), it is possible to increase the air flow inside the panel board

31 Functionality / benefits looked for
Preset for the apparatus back plates drilled for fixing the moulded-case circuit-breakers up toT5 and S6 from the front Circuit-breakers drilled back plates sized for fixing the LVCP condensers Capacitors support brackets for mounting the wiring duct on the door, structure or DIN rail Wiring duct

32 Functionality / benefits looked for
Very sturdy structure characterised by a closed type section, able to withstand high loads Structure the structures with W1200mm are supplied with an intermediate upright which, apart from guaranteeing the degree of protection, offers greater mechanical sturdiness of the panel board without losing total access, as it is removable Structures with double door with intermediate upright

33 Functionality / benefits looked for
Optimisation of internal spaces characterised by a section with extremely limited dimensions - 47x47mm, which allows the whole volume of the panel board to be exploited Structure this allows the back plate to be moved backwards as far as the inside of the uprights, making it possible to exploit the depth of the panel board to the maximum Kit for moving the plate backwards this offers on average 20% more surface which can be cabled compared with the standard plate Oversized plate

34 Functionality / benefits looked for
Laying the panel board simply and rapidly by means of dedicated accessories accessible from the top side by means of a cable entry flange Fixing the structure to the floor in the cases where the panel board needs subsequent handling and when handling on the work site is particularly difficult Structure placed on wheels when the floor is not perfectly level Structure placed on levelling feet

35 Functionality / benefits looked for
Use of the panel board particularly suited to use in “difficult” environments (marble and woodworking machines) IP65 degree of protection in the case of “mixed” electrical + pneumatic uses, it is possible to insert some metal segregations vertically and horizontally to separate the different areas The need to separate

36 Functionality / benefits looked for
Universal use of the panel board Universal accessories in the IS2 range there are accessories, such as crosspieces, aluminium sections and partial back plates, which allow assembly of any component internally Rapid and universal fixing the use of self-tapping screws allows rapid and secure fixing of the components, without the need for drilling and use of cage nuts

37 Functionality / benefits looked for
Spare parts for the panel board Easy to order all the panel board components are coded and priced, so supplying spare parts is extremely simple
