12 TSS Toxic Shock Syndrome Bacterial Infection (can be treated) –Usually found in females who use tampons –Changing tampon every 3-4 hours is important to reduce growth of bacteria –Symptoms may include: sudden high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting, and a rash that looks like sunburn
