7 Idea Rubric

8 Write On! Choose a topic from your ABC Chart that you are an expert about. Write for 10 minutes about that topic. You will be graded with the idea rubric in your notes.

12 Six Traits In writing, we focus on six traits. We have learned about ideas! Now it’s time to learn how to organize our ideas!

23 Write On! Choose an event from your life map that makes you feel a strong emotion. Write the emotion in the blank. Summarize that event in one paragraph. Then, rewrite that SAME paragraph about the SAME event using a different voice (aka emotion). Your paragraphs will be graded on a 5 point scale for strong and clear voice in your writing.

45 Write On! You and a partner are going to write about a the city in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Chewandswallow. The number of words in your sentences depends upon the number you roll with your dice. You must have at least 5 sentences total. 5 I love to read books. 7 My friends and I read them together. 2 It’s great! 12 We like to read many different genres such as fantasy and mystery.
