4. Consensus Mat This strategy helps students share ideas, information and points and come to a consensus.

6. Talking Chips The talking chips strategy is used to promote equal participation among a group. The goal is for each student to place a chip on the table when they want to contribute to the conversation. Each student is not allowed to speak unless they have placed their chip on the table. Students can use their talking chip to: Give an idea Ask a question Express a doubt Respond to an idea Ask for clarification This strategy is best used in cooperative learning groups.
