2. Eggs  The adult butterfly lays eggs on a leaf

3. Caterpillar  The caterpillar is the stage where the egg hatches  The caterpillar starts to eat as soon as it hatches

4. Chrysalis  The chrysalis stage is when the caterpillar is very fat and hangs on some type of branch or something they can get to  once the caterpillar has gotten fat a substance forms around the caterpillar incasing the little guy in a chrysalis

5. Butterfly  Once the egg has gone through all these changes and has hatched from the chrysalis its wings are wet for a few days but once there dry the new butterfly can soar vast distances on its new wings!!
