2 Moderator PANELLISTS Dominic Hobson is founder of COOConnect. He was also one of the founders of Global Custodian magazine, a publication covering the securities industry, and for many years its editor in chief. Dominic is a published author, with three books - The Pride of Lucifer, Saturn’s Children and The National Wealth – to his name. He was also amanuensis to Nigel Lawson, former Chancellor of the Exchequer, in the preparation of his memoirs. Dominic was born in Southern Rhodesia in 1958, and educated there and at Magdalene College, Cambridge. He spent four years in investment banking before electing to work for himself. Charles Bathurst is a consultant to the board of SuMi TRUST Global Asset Services. Charles graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1974 serving as an Officer in the British Army before leaving to spend eight years in the engineering industry, initially with GKN on their military vehicle division. In 1988 Charles moved to the City of London where he worked in international financial and commodity markets for GNI and moved to Credit Agricole in 1995 to found their alternative investment management group. In 1998 he established Credit Agricole Asset Management in London becoming Managing Director. In 2004 Charles moved to Old Mutual Asset Managers becoming International Sales and Marketing Director and in 2008 joined J O Hambro Investment Management Limited as Director and Head of their internal Fund Management Group. During his career Charles has been responsible for initiating and managing to profitability new businesses, multiple product launches and building distribution channels in more than 40 countries globally. Today he is a consultant to the board of SuMi TRUST Global Asset Services to build their commercial growth globally ex Japan.

3 Catherine Weeks is a Managing Associate in the Financial Services team at Simmons & Simmons. Catherine is an investment funds specialist, focusing particularly on the distribution of various investment fund structures for sale across the EU, as well as providing marketing advice to clients. Catherine heads up our navigator: UCITS Passporting team and our KIID Generation production team. David O’Keeffe is CEO of SMT Trustees (Ireland) Ltd, a subsidiary of SuMi TRUST, which provides the Trustee, Custodian and Depositary services to Irish and, through a wholly owned Cayman subsidiary, funds domiciled there. He has been with SuMi TRUST (formerly the Daiwa Securities Group) since 1999, having worked in various roles in fund administration including Head of Shareholder Services, Head of Risk and Head of the Internal Audit function, amongst other roles. Prior to this he worked for a number of years in the fund administration subsidiary of Dresdner Bank AG, Dresdner Bank (Ireland) plc, and also for Rudolf Wolff Fund Management Limited, including the position of Director for a CTA futures trading program subsidiary company.

4 Charles Muller is a partner at KPMG Luxembourg Société Coopérative and a member of the KPMG Global Leadership team for Investment Management. Charles has strong ties with decision makers across the European and global regulatory network. In 1994 he joined Banque Générale du Luxembourg (now BGL BNPParibas), where he held various legal positions in the retail, corporate and private banking departments, before being appointed Deputy Secretary General of the Bank. In 2003 he joined ALFI, the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry where he held the position of Deputy Director General in charge of i.a. Legal and Tax Affairs, Promotion, Communication and Press Relations. Charles was also a Board member of the worldwide federation of investment fund associations IIFA, a board member of the European Federation for Retirement Provision (EFRP) and a member of the Management Committee of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA). John Skelly is a specialist in compliance, risk, product development, finance and operations for both traditional funds and hedge funds and has helped develop the operational infrastructure of a number of investment funds. He has in-depth understanding of hedge fund and traditional fund operational requirements and has project managed a number of fund launches. He has expert knowledge of the risk and compliance UCITS V requirements. John regularly provides industry training on investment fund products, particularly UCITS.Prior to joining Carne in 2006 John held a number of senior management positions with leading banks and asset management companies including BNP Paribas Securities Services and Norwich Union Investments (now Aviva Investors). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and trained with Deloitte. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin.
