3. #2 Posture and Eye Contact Stand up straight, shoulders back, head up Make eye contact or look just above audience ( Don’t look at floor) “Talk with your feet” Use of media and props Do not read from slides One enhances the other and vice-versa

4. #3 Hook Begin with something interesting to capture audience attention Sound, humor, intrigue, ask a question, etc.

5. #4 Projection – Be heard! Project your voice Use good diction and proper English

6. #5 Timing – Steady pace and “White Space” Take your time, yet be efficient Allow audience to “take in” what you are sharing “Silence is Golden” – Um, Uh, Uh Yah

7. #6 Closing – Tell them what you told them! Return to the original hook Make a final point Simply tell them you are finished
