SO, what is engineering? Can anyone tell me what engineers do?

The process of solving problems and designing the human made world.
“Engineering is the application of math and science to create something of value from our natural resources.”
Different from Science – “study of the natural world” but they cannot be neatly separated.

4. Who are Engineers
Person with Ingenuity, Creativity, Vision, and a desire to improve lives.
Society calls upon engineers to not only envision what the world will look like tomorrow, but more importantly to make tomorrow happen.
They are anyone and everyone!

5. What is the difference between Scientists and Engineers?
Scientists seek to explain how things work through discovery, to help us understand and describe our world.
Use the Scientific Method
Engineers use this information to create objects and devices that help humans and society.
Use the Engineering Design process
Both are needed to develop and advance society.

Engineers work in teams because they know that two heads are better than one and that we are smarter together!
