Technology Autobiography By Magen Cooper

My earliest experience with technology would have to be the T.V., I remember I used to sit in front of the T.V all day and watch Barney and friends. That was my favorite show until I was 8 years old.

When I was around 9 years old my family got their first computer. I used to love going on the computer. I remember going to pick out the computer with my family and being so excited. My first computer game was a Barbie makeover game. I also used to play this game called math blaster to help me study for school but have fun at the same time.

I would have to say that the most technologically literate person in my life is my cousin Jimmy. I would say Jimmy because whenever my computer would get a virus or wouldn’t run right he would come to my house and fix the computer. Anything that has to do with computers and understanding them comes very easy to Jimmy. I was never really interested in learning anything from him when he fixed my computer however.

I do believe that there are social consequences or potential impacts that technology has on my lifestyle depends on my technological capabilities because without knowing how to use a computer I wouldn’t be able to do my school work. Also If I didn’t know how to use technology it would effect my future because I was to be a hair dresser and there is a lot of technology used in being a hair dresser.

I have never been known to an “early adaptor” to technology. For example I got my first cell phone when I was 18 years old and all my friends had already had them since they were around 12 years old. When I got my cell phone I was the most slowest texter ever. It took me a couple months to become a fast texter.

The only piece of technology that is on my technological wish list is an ipod.
