4 How does Registration and Scheduling Work? It all starts with YOU so please give your course selections serious consideration!! November & December - students enter their "course requests" in PowerSchool screens January - course requests are compared to the number of teachers we have and a determination is made regarding how many sections of each course will be offered February – counselors will meet 1:1 with their students March - information is entered into PowerSchool in order to "build" the schedule; students are then "loaded" into classes by the computer (very complex algorithm!) April - students are given a list of their first semester courses for next fall to check for accuracy If course requests are not entered accurately, you may not get the classes you want or need as they won't be built!!!!
