2 Logging In to GradeQuick Shortcut on the Start Menu First time users enter first initial last name like this (ccornwell) Do not enter a password and click OK It will prompt you to create a password Use the same password for logging in to the network so you don’t forget OK

3 Importing Rosters Click the New Grade Book button on the Toolbar

4 Importing Rosters (cont.) Click Yes

5 Change to Your Course List: This window appears Click Change

6 Importing Rosters (cont.) Select your name and click OK

7 Importing Rosters (cont.) The list of your courses appears. Select the first class Click OK Your roster appears

8 Sort the Roster into Alpha order: Place the cursor in the name column Click the white arrow that points up

9 Saving: NEVER use ‘Save As’ from the File menu NEVER rename a file (ask the TRT for help) ALWAYS Use the Save button Name it by block number – Examples [Block 1] or [1 st ]

10 Add Credit Type Remember, it’s not the students’ grade level in the class, it’s the course credit. Edit > Class Information > Scroll to the bottom of the list > to Credit Type > Enter MS or HS in the field on the right OK Do this for each class Save

11 Adding a Test ALWAYS manually add the first assignment— DON’T USE GRADEBOOK-to-GRADEBOOK COPY for the first assignment in a term Use the Add Test button This way you get the weighting

12 Subtotal Look-Fors Are the Terms weighted correctly? (grading periods are in the Subtotal column) SubTotal should be 300 Ask TRT for help if it’s not

13 When we add the Exam The weighting for Exams will be: HS credit courses = 150 MS = 100

14 Print Options for Single Term SS View the Single Term Spreadsheet – Reports > Spreadsheets > Single Term Gradebook Spreadsheet Change Printer Options – Print > Printer Setup > Landscape – Then > Options > Print in Thin Column Mode (truncates test names to fit on page) – So not use Thin Column Mode for your permanent record, only for a running copy

15 Change to Semester Grade View Now you must change your view to View All Terms And, to view Semester 1

16 Add Transfer Grades for New Students Add a test column Short name Q1trnsfr Long name Quarter 1 Transfer Grades Change the Term to Term 1 Change the Date to a 1 st Quarter date Enter 100 Possible Points Fill Current Column with X Enter the student’s grade If using category weighting, you must put this column in a category

17 Printing the Semester 1 Spreadsheet Go to Reports > Spreadsheets > End-of-Year SS Go to Students > Student Info. Check the following only: – Name – ID Number – Sem 1 Grade

18 Congratulations! You are ready to enter 1 st Quarter Grades!
