2. HOMEBASE CLASSES HAVE BEEN GROUPED TOGETHER BY THEIR TEACHER’S DEPARTMENT,(ALTHOUGH SOME HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO A DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT

3. WINNING DEPARTMENT TEAM WILL BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE BINGO PARTY IN THE NEW YEAR…..HOW When “War” makes Cents. WHAT? A penny war combines the simplicity of a donation jar with the fun of a good-natured prank. Classrooms compete against one another by collecting pennies in labeled jars; the classroom with the most at the end of the contest wins. Sounds simple? Not so fast. Students can sabotage other collections–and yet benefit the school–by filling jars of their rivals with silver or paper money: every non-penny cent gets subtracted from the penny total. WHY? Money collected will be used to help provide Help to families in our School community this Holiday Season.

4. CONT’D HOW: Each Team will have a jar located at the office, donations can be made before/after school at lunch and during M/W/F homebase with teacher permission. Teachers can encourage donations on those days, and have them brought down Students should bring their pennies to fill their team jars that will be located in the office. Students should also bring their canned goods to the counseling center where it will be recorded, each donated item will count as 50 points towards their team total. Students should bring change to put in other team jars to count against that team’s total. Students may also bring in cash or checks, they should turn those into the office in exchange for a slip hey may choose a red or green slip or a combination. Green slips are positive and can be put in their team jars and will be counted as pennies. If they choose a red slip the recorded amount will count as silver against that team’s total. Faculty auction payments will also be eligible for slips, as well as Dodge ball registration fees. (If paid by noon of the 21 st.)

5. TIME LINE Begin Bringing Your Items on Friday 12/4 We will have a Tally completed on 12/11 Contest Ends noon 12/18

6. WHAT ABOUT DODGEBALL? Tournament Dec 22 nd Sign up teams of ten in the office Girls and Boys Division Cost $4.00/ player (due no later 12/21 at noon) 3 Game guarantee Released from class to play Winning boys/girls teams will be divided for co-ed championship during assembly

7. WHAT IF I KNOW SOMEONE… If you are concerned that someone you know is in need of help, please discretely let your teacher know or speak to a counselor or administrator.
