2 Universität für Bodenkultur Wien Dr. Margarita Calderón-Peter, ZIB 13.02.2016 2 1. Purpose of the Fund for incentives The purpose of the fund is to provide seed money for preparation of projects which are in line with network objectives and stipulated areas of cooperation. The aim of this fund is to give an incentive to promising new initiatives that couldn’t be developed without initial funding. It might be considered that in a second phase the fund for incentives also provides financial support for further project work of CASEE members

3 Universität für Bodenkultur Wien Dr. Margarita Calderón-Peter, ZIB 13.02.2016 3 Who can apply? Potential project leaders of initiatives in education, research and capacity building that include a minimum of 3 CASEE members (of different countries!) Supported activities The funding is for new initiatives in line with the overall network objectives and stipulated areas of cooperation. The fund could e.g. cover * meeting costs (although video-meeting or use of ERASMUS staff mobility funds to cover meeting costs are encouraged) * salary costs (only for extra staff with specific tasks in relation to the proposed project). CASEE fund for incentives will not fund ongoing activities. A project may therefore not receive CASEE funds for more than 3 years. The first year the CASEE Fund for Incentives may co-fund 50% of the budget; the second year 30% and the third year 15% of the budget. 2. Procedure for applications for funding1/2
