2 Service Learning Service Learning is a teaching method that combines service to the community with classroom curriculum. It is more than merely community service. 3 The Benefits STUDENTS in service-learning classes can benefit academically, professionally, and personally. 4 Service Learning For part of my service learning I gave blood for the Valdosta State football team. I know it was for a good cause, but I did not have a good experience during it so I will not be giving blood again in the future.

6 Service Learning I helped work the 8 th annual Doug Henderson Memorial Golf Tournament at Valdosta’s Country Club. There were twenty-nine teams competing in the tournament. All proceeds went to the Doug Henderson III Memorial Fund. This was a great experience I would be glad to do it again.
