1 Humanities-Arts Trip to Vietnam 30 May to 2 June 2015

2 Attire and money On the first day- wear the green trip T Shirt During the visit to the school in Vietnam- you are to wear the school T Shirt only. Do not bring too much money there- Bring between S$50 to S$100 worth of Vietnamese Dong.

3 At the Airport Please hold on to your own luggage and look after it at all times- do not leave it out of your sight. Do not carry others luggage or belongings- especially strangers. After checking in, you are to secure your passport. We will not be collecting your passport until you clear immigration at Vietnam.

4 Inside the immigration area. Move in your groups assigned to you. You are expected to be punctual at the Boarding gate. ( Listen to teachers’ instructions) Inform one of your group friend (if any on last min emergency) You are expected to be on your best behaviour at all times. Do not talk to strangers.

5 At the immigration Fill up the arrival card carefully at the waiting area before boarding the plane. If unsure, please consult your teachers or tour manager.

6 On the plane Please get to your assigned seat based on your ticket. (Insurance covered as per original passenger’s seat number) No changing of seats is allowed. The stewardess can only identify halal meals based on your seat number. ( Do not change your pre-ordered meals unnecessary) Do not play or speak loudly during the flight. Wear your seat belt at all times when you are seated. Switch off your mobile phones.

7 On the plane Be polite to the stewardess when requesting for assistance. Do not move around unless you want to use the toilet. This is to reduce the risk of injuries in case of turbulence. Keep your passport with you on your body. (Do not leave it in the front seat pocket or hold others passport) Check your passport when you arrive at the airport in Vietnam. (Do not misplace your air ticket, baggage tag and any related document required for check at custom)

8 Arrival in Vietnam After leaving the aerobridge, please assemble outside the aerobridge for a headcount and check your personal belongings. Proceed as a group to the immigration at Vietnam. No photography is allowed at the immigration area so keep your handphone.

9 At the immigration Each person must clear the immigration personally. When asked the purpose by the immigration, say “you are here for a holiday.” During luggage check, if the immigration officer asks you if you know the contents of your luggage, you must say “YES” – Please pack your own luggage and know what is inside your luggage. Make sure your passport is endorsed before leaving the counter. (Please do not wait or stay behind the immigration counter )

10 Disciplines during the trip You are to be punctual for each activity. All students must come down for breakfast. Please be careful when walking along or crossing the road or boarding the boat. (line up in single line) Be polite at all times. (Ambassador of Singapore and BVSS) Do NOT be engrossed in taking photos or use the handphone when you are walking. (phone only allowed with teachers’ permission) Pay attention and listen to the instructions given by the teachers and guides at all times.

11 Disciplines during the trip Boys must stay clear of girls room and vice versa. Girls no pyjamas or FBT shorts seen walking around the hotel. Light off time at 11.00pm and STOP all activities and getting ready for sleep. eg room calling. No room serving of food is allowed. All pupils to latch the door and window properly after night routine check. All pupils to take responsibility not to take away anything from the hotel rooms. (charges will be paid by the person upon checking out) No strolling or staying at hotel’s lobby after 11pm.

12 During the trip You are NOT allowed to buy any contraband items. These includes: -DVDs, Cigarettes, Liquor, Chewing Gum, Objects like knives, knuckle dusters etc…… If unsure, please consult your teachers. If you are found with contraband items, disciplinary action will be taken against you. -If unwell please inform your teachers at once.

13 Have a safe and enjoyable trip!
