Today’s Learning Targets: -I can define 11 new words from our story -I can correctly respond to reading comprehension questions from chapter 1 Tonight’s Homework: Create 11 flashcards or 11 original sentences for your new vocabulary words. **be sure to list the part of speech for each word on the flashcard**

16 On today’s schedule We will.. Record the definitions and parts of speech for 11 new vocabulary words Read chapter 16 as a class Discuss chapter 16, first in small groups and then in large groups

30 Chapter 16 discussion questions Think back through the novel. List at least five ways that Timothy helped Phillip. What is a legacy? What legacy did Timothy leave Phillip? On the bottom of p. 116, Phillip thinks, but something told me I must stay very busy and not think about myself. Why? What was he afraid of? Why did the birds attack Phillip and Stew Cat?
