2. The Life cycle of a butterfly

3. These are the four stages in the lifecycle of a butterfly. We will be learning about all four stages today.

4. The first stage: The egg A butterfly starts its life out as a very small round egg.

5. The Second stage: The larva or caterpillar. During the caterpillar stage the only thing they really do is eat!

6. The Third stage: The chrysalis As soon as an adult caterpillar is done growing they form a chrysalis. Inside the chrysalis the caterpillar grows through an amazing transformation.

7. The Fourth stage: The Adult Butterfly When the caterpillar is finally done with all of its changing, the adult butterfly will emerge!
